We’re thrilled to be leading a workshop for the Drama Educators’ Network Professional Learning Day for the Canadian Independent Schools of Ontario Conference at the Stratford Festival on Friday October 3, 2025

This is a day of enriching professional learning from a drama lens.

Middle & Senior Drama Educators, will gather at the Stratford Festival to:

• participate in a teacher-focused workshop: Staging Safety: Trauma-Informed Tools for Drama Educators

• network with drama colleagues from CIS Ontario member schools

• learn about CISDF 2025-2026 and assist in the planning

• tour Stratford Festival facilities where CISDF 2025-2026 will be held

• share in a group dinner at a local restaurant

• see a Stratford show with your peers, options include Dangerous Liaisons, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Macbeth and Annie (ft. Lead Actor Harper Rae Asch from The York School)

On September 9, 2025, The Institute’s co-founder, Andrea Rankin presented her Master’s research Exploring the Impact of Trauma-Informed Practice in Drama Education at the S Word Symposium, hosted by the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and the Actor Wellbeing Facilitators Collective. It was a meaningful day of sharing from practitioners and researchers from around the world, and we were grateful to be a part of it.
